1. Do I have to register to use Mumtazz.com?

Almost all areas of the site are free to access by any user. However, you will need to register if you want to view the photos, receive the newsletter or create a profile. Registering also allows you to display your personal avatar and lets you create a profile page describing your interests. You'll also get access to Mumtazz's social networking features, which let you build relationships with like-minded users of your city.
 
2. Why do you need my personal details?

We use the information for four general purposes: 
- To customise the advertising and content you see
- To determine how well each page performs based on aggregate user demographics and traffic patterns.
 This helps us build a better service for you
- To fulfill your requests for certain products and services, such as sending out electronic newsletters and enabling you to participate in polls, contests and forums
- To send you information about topics we think will be of interest to you. We only do this if you have agreed to receive such information
 
3. What are usernames?

 Usernames are used to identify you on the site. Please choose carefully; once you have set one, it cannot be changed.

 

4. What is an avatar? What are the rules for avatars?

An avatar is a small image that is displayed alongside your username to identify you to other users. When you are logged in, it will also appear in the membership box at the top of each page.
You can have an avatar by default or upload an image of your own. If you would like to upload your own image, the following rules apply:
- Your image must be saved as a GIF, JPG or PNG file
- Maximum size for the file is 100K
- Your image should be square (if it isn't, it will be squashed into a square)
- Avatar images must not be offensive. If we consider your avatar inappropriate, we may withdraw it and require you to choose another one.
You can change your avatar image as often as you like. However, each time you upload a new one, it will overwrite the old one -- we only store one avatar image per user.
 
5. How can I tell if I am logged in?

Your Mumtazz avatar and username will appear in the profile box on the left of the page if you are logged in. Otherwise, you will see the box headed with 'LOG IN'.
 
6. Do I have to log in every time I visit the site?

No, you can choose to be logged in automatically. Next time you log on, select the `Remember me' checkbox. After that, you will not need to type your email address and password to log in.
 
7.  I've forgotten my password. What should I do?

When you try to log in with the wrong password, you'll see an alert window  "Incorrect Email ID and Password'. Click on "forgot password" under the button LOGIN and follow the instructions on the screen. An email will be sent to you with your password.
 
8.  I can't remember which email address I used when I signed up, and now I can't log in. What should I do?

Please send an email to support [at] mumtazz.com listing all your email addresses and we'll do our best to help.
 
9.  How can I update my personal details?

Once you have logged in, click your username on edit my account on the left of any page to be taken to your 'Profile.'  Click the 'Modify my personal settings' link to edit your personal information.
 
10.  How can I update my fashion style, relationship status and music style?

Once you have logged in, click your username on edit my account on the left of any page to be taken to your 'Profile.'  Click the "Manage my profile" link to edit your personal information.
 
11.  Who can see my profile?

All visitors to Mumtazz can see your profile picture, whether they are members or not. However only registered users can send you a message, vote for you or add you as a friend.
 
12.  How do I change my profile picture and avatar?

We use a smaller version of your avatar on your profile page. To upload a new avatar picture, go to the "edit my account" link and click on the "Modify my personal settings" link. You can upload your own image, which must be a square JPG, GIF or PNG file.

13.   How do I upload pictures on my profile page?

It is very simple to share your party pictures with your friends. Just click on choose file" link and the picture will be uploaded automatically to your gallery.
Your image must be saved as a GIF, JPG or PNG file. Maximum size for the file is 400K.
 
14.  Can I change my username?

Yes! Just click on the "edit my account" link and the "modify my settings" links.
The new username will only reflect if you logout and log back in gain.  Get creative by using space or symbols. Example: E M M A, ***Peter***.  You are limited to 18 characters.
 
15.  How do I deactivate my account?

Click on the "view profile" link and the "deactivate profile" link.  Mumtazz won't store any of your data on our server.
 
16.  Why should I add friends?

Adding friends allows you to show them the parties where you are going, the bars or clubs you like and send private messages to each other.
 
17.  How do I remove a friend?

Just click on "my friends" link and click the "remove from my friends" link next to your friend's details.
 
18.  How do I report bad behaviour by other users?

Please send an email to abuse [at} mumtazz.com. If you are reporting an offensive comment, please copy the location of the page from your browser's address bar and paste it into your email.

19. How do I report a problem with my account?

Please send an email to support [at] mumtazz.com describing the problem and we'll do our best to sort it out.
